2nd Feather [commentlog]
[There's an owl in the Keep. A rather ruffled looking Barn owl, to be specific.
Te Ata had been getting restless on the ground, so she had shifted to her owl form. She had been slightly worried at how long it had taken and the energy it had expended that she had tried to shift back almost immediately.
Rather shocked at being stuck as an owl, Te Ata had gathered up her scattered clothes and hid them away before taking to the sky to scout out the Keep.
Feel free to bug the owl.]

It had been sometime since he'd actually seen an owl so he watched with keen interest. Not wanting to scare it, he remained still, quiet, and simply observed. He had gotten quite good at that over the years.]

She coos quietly and stares at him. Your move.]

This is amazing.
[Sure he knew a giant robot and one of his friends could turn into a dragon, but he never had a wild animal, or he thought was a wild animal, perch on him like this before.
He lifted a finger towards it, wondering if it would let him stroke its feathers.]

[Commentlog] Animal or Person?
Nevertheless, today is a human avoiding day and Tetsu can be found spread out on the green, alone, watching the sky.]
[Commentlog] Animal 8D
She notices the weird long-haired ram and dips lower before circling about above it, head swiveling as she flies so she can get a good look before Te Ata decides whether to land or not.]
[Commentlog] ^__^ Up to you if Te-owl understands him or not
Annoyed, he rolls onto his paws and looks up, craning his head back to watch her through the fringe of his hair. When he speaks his words come out in a sequence of baas and growls.]
Hey, owl chick! Knock it off. Ya got any idea how distractin' that is?
[Commentlog] Understanding is a gooooo
Sorry. I've never seen an animal that looks like you before.
[Commentlog] o/
It'd be kinda surprisin' if ya had.
[He knows how rare his species is.]
Gotta say it's good to see someone around here that'll talk back when spoken too. Ya a local?

[Commentlog] Please ignore the fact that he's a person in these icons

The half angel has never seen an owl out at this time of day. How curious!]

She hoots at Isabella and tilts her head curiously. She's never seen a human with wings before.]

She finds herself tilting her own head a bit in response to the bird's curious behavior. After a minute of this enjoyable silence, a smile works it's way onto Isa's face.]
Hello, pretty.
[Her voice is soft and low, so not to startle the bird. Talking to animals is a pleasant enough past time. Sometimes, as she's found, they might even talk back!]

She edges closer on the branch she's perched before suddenly taking off and fluttering down to land on the grass close to Isabella. Te Ata chirps and watches her intently.]

Well, hello, winged friend. Nice time for flight, is it not?
[She grins. She does not expect a reply.]

[Aara's expression lights up.]
I am Aara. It is a pleasure to meet you, winged friend.

I would fly with you, wing sister, had I not finally gotten into this form. [She tilts her head slightly, considering.]
I would also not wish to frighten a new friend.
[She does not know if this beautiful owl can take other forms, but if she can understand her, then that is enough for Aara.]

He was nearly to the thermal pools, a robe wrapped around his trim form and a towel draped over his arm, when the sound of wing beats catches his attention. He pauses and glances up, blue-green eyes scanning the skies until he sights upon the owl.
His brows rise slightly, having seen several bird of various species since his arrival here, but never an owl. He smiles ever so slightly before continuing toward the pools, finding a certain degree of comfort in the birds' presence.]

If there are public baths, Te Ata wants to know about them before checking them out as a human.]

Because he does. They are a curious and intelligent bird by default, but generally they keep a wider berth than this one seems inclined to.
He pauses again as she moves in closer, glancing over his shoulder at her to watch her approach.]
Hello, pretty .. Looking around, are you?
[He doesn't seem to think twice about talking to an owl, smiling at the pretty bird before continuing down the last of the path that guides to the pools. He sighs contently as his gaze falls on the steaming pools, setting his towel (and journal) safely aside before sitting at the edge of one pool and dangling his legs into the water.
He then proceeds to begin braiding his hair back from his face, slim fingers separating and weaving the sections of hair by feel rather than sight.]
